Tuesday:
I thought giving up Diet Coke was going to be awful. I cast the occasional glance of longing toward the giant glowing caffeine machine when I'm trotting off to a boring seminar in a dark room, but otherwise it has been completely painless. I probably save $10 a week by not drinking the stuff.
Then there's coffee... I don't often drink those creamy mochas and lattes (lactose ick), but I love that warm cup of sweetness first thing in the morning, during the 3PM slump and decaf after dinner. I use stevia to sweeten it and Soy Silk creamer or fat-free powder stuff instead of half & half to cut down on the calories. I've even been making it really weak so I don't have to use as much creamer.
I've been trying to switch over to lemon flavored green tea, but I have a feeling if I cut it out completely it'll be about 3 days before I'm up in the clocktower brandishing Coffee-Mate screaming, "You will pry it out of my cold dead paws, do you hear me? My Cold Dead Paws!"
Negotiator: "Cold dead FAT paws?"
Me: (sniffles)
Then I'll have to be lured down with cheddar Ritz Bitz and carted off to the loony bin. And we don't have a clocktower.
